It's common to organize photoshoots when children are very young, but it's equally important to capture memories with your teenagers. While the dynamic may be different, and the session may require a different kind of preparation, I'm here to offer a few tips to ensure a relaxed session that everyone will enjoy.
Firstly, let them be themselves. Teenagers don't want to be told what to wear or how to style their hair. Simply discuss a few guidelines on colours and allow them to choose the rest of their outfit. During the session, I'll treat your teenagers like adults, giving directions but never forcing them to smile or get too close to each other. They usually relax and show their silly side, and I'm able to capture some really "cool" portraits by pulling them aside at the right moments.
